  1. Hey guys, one more point in the continuing saga of password database apps on android.
  2.
  3. I use KeePass, and the android app is great -- when you view an entry, it adds an item to the notification bar for the username, and one for the password. Tap the notification from any app, and its entry gets copied to clipboard. Then, your clipboard gets automatically cleared after configurable timeout, and your database also gets locked after a separately configurable timeout.
  4.
  5. Works great, and is about as secure as you can get on mobile.
  6.
  7. One more point about clipboard monitoring -- I think once the attacker is on your machine all bets are off anyway: they could even just keylog your master password and steal the database file. I don't think the clipboard is much less secure than anything else that's in your machine's RAM.
