  2.  10 tips NSA snoops may not want people to
  3. figure out. Many have already been posted.
  4.
  5. (1) If you don’t want you’re computer to
  6. be snooped and hacked 24/7 - you must
  7. disconnect the modem until needed.
  8.
  9. (2) If you don’t want private information
  10. to be known online - then you must not
  11. post any personal info at all.
  12.
  13. (3) We are all being spied on, expect it.
  14. NOTHING is private over telecommunication.
  15. EVERYTHING encrypted can/will be decrypted.
  16.
  17. (4) New technologies are always online.
  18. In order to disconnect from the spy grid,
  19. you must refer to yesterday’s technology.
  20.
  21. (5) OFFLINE systems are great for storage
  22. and for personal activities. Backed up
  23. websites (html formats) can be viewed
  24. offline as well.
  25.
  26. (6) Secret fact. WiFi chips are always on.
  27. WiFi can be intercepted WITHOUT YOU KNOWING.
  28. The ‘off’ option is - in fact - a big hoax
  29. and any real hacker knows damn well of this,
  30. and you can bet the NSA knows this too.
  31.
  32. (7) Check out a VPN service. Don’t be
  33. afraid to use proxies even when you
  34. don’t need to use them.
  35.
  36. (8) Always backup everything to hardcopy.
  37. You never know when you may need something
  38. again and all the sudden it’s no longer
  39. available. Backup everything. DVDs rule!
  40.
  41. (9) Browser bookmarks suck. Cache logs,
  42. autocomplete logs and cookies are a trap.
  43. Wipe that shit out. Use a UTF-8 text file
  44. to make a collection of favorite websites.
  45.
  46.  Bookmarks are just another type of cache
  47. which can be used to spy on web activity.
  48.
  49. (10) Keep track of all background processes
  50. that run within the system. Many exploits
  51. are not as hard as you may ponder to find.
  52. Most can be found running in the background
  53. and can be stifled or terminated with a
  54. decent tool such as Process Explorer.
  55.
  56. If you doubt (10), please refer to (1).
