  1. Guys, I lerve me some LAS, but I have a problem. I've been trying to settle on one distro. Right now I have an Arch build with a Gnome desktop I really like and it works really well, except for this one Steam game, and the Guacamole install. Arch is awesome, except for the little annoying things that maybe patience or research would help me figure out.
  3. So I also have a Ubuntu 14.04 install, which runs all my Steam games, and the tutorials are pretty good, and an app store (such as it is.) There's just the annoying no root login thing and the packages just aren't quite as up to date as in Arch. I also just installed Fedora 20 on a partition, and I like yum ok, but there's no PPAs and from what I hear, building from RPMs is a PITA. I did try OpenSuse 13.1 for a bit, but zypper just seemed a little too foreign I guess.
  5. Is there a middle ground? Or do I have to learn to build things from source so that I can use a stable distro and have cutting edge software available?
  7. Also, I'd like to officially offer my services as a designated pronunciation reference. Just send me whatever you are going to have a problem saying and I'll leave you a voice mail with with a decent pronunciation. Just trying to contribute.
  9. Big fan, keep up the good work.
