  1. Hi Allan & Kris
  3. Great show guys!!! I am a newbie to FreeBSD and PCBSD. The change came about when I built a home NAS with Freenas and NAS4Free (my current NAS). I switched from having Linux on my main desktop to PCBSD (still using OSX for Lightroom though).
  5. I have 2 issues that I need help with: 1 PCBSD on my laptop 2. Recognising Android tablet on PCBSD to use adb tools
  7. 1. PCBSD on laptop
  9. I tried PCBSD on my Acer Aspire 5820TG with Broadcom wifi card but had the following issues which I couldn't resolve satisfactorily and which ultimately caused me to switch the laptop back to Linux Mint XCFE.
  11.     1.1 Battery life I could only get 1.5hrs on PC-BSD whilst the Linux Mint gives me 3.5hrs. Any documentation that you can point me to that can help or maybe a way to copy any Linux Mint settings to PCBSD. I have searched the web and tried different things for FreeBSD but it has not worked.
  13.     1.2 Suspend and Hibernate on the Acer laptop using PC-BSD. Any advice?
  15.     1.3 Wi-Fi and the Broadcom issue. After trying various suggestions from the forums to get the internal Broadcom wifi adapter to work I bought a USB adapter. But I think because I bought a cheap one it eventually also gave problems. Any advice on getting the internal Broadcom wifi adapter to work?
  18. 2. Recognising Android tablet on PCBSD to use adb tools
  20. Any advice on
  22.     2.1 getting PC-BSD to recognise a Google Nexus 7 tablet running Cyanogenmod
  24.     2.2 after getting PC-BSD to recognise Android tablet - then to get adt tools to communicate with Android tablets. At the moment I boot to Linux to work on the Android tablets and I would prefer to do it from PC-BSD
  26. Thanks for the great work to date. Hope you enjoy the holidays.
