  1. Wanted to weigh in on the discussion RE the future of XFCE. I toyed with the idea some time ago of trying to pitch in to port XFCE to GTK+3 (most of XFCE I think is still dependent of GTK+2). I eventually moved to elementaryOS (which is all-in on GTK+3), and I'm fairly happy with it.
  3. Buy my dream is to have a box-style window manager, with modular components for a panel, menu, file manager etc., but which takes advantage of Wayland to add subtle compositing effects and animations.
  5. Is it possible that there are more XFCE fans like me out there, who are waiting for the next generation of display managers to land before we start on a rewrite of the DE?
  7. Just a thought.
