  1. Just a little correction; the Functional Programming paradigm has been around since the 50's. It wasn't until some of the major players in the 70's (Scheme), and 80's (Haskell) that languages were actually branded with, "this is a Functional Language."

  3. Just wanted to clarify this. The Functional Programming paradigm has been around since the 50's... right about the same time that the Object Oriented Programming paradigm started (late 50's).
