  1. Chris and Matt,

  3. I love LAS and was recently watching some of the older episodes that I forgot existed. ;)

  5. I would like to share my thoughts on Fedora (with GNOME3), which I have found to be the exact opposite of yours. Of course, this is just my opinion (and mine only), but I still think it is important to represent the thousands (or more...probably millions) of people who use Fedora on a daily basis for production. I recently installed Fedora 19 with GNOME, and I am LOVING it!

  7. Some people say that Fedora is RedHat's test bed, and that it is still finding its direction. I really can't speak for the KDE side (I just tried KDE in a VM this morning and I am still hating it), but I think what Fedora offers is a perfect out-of-the-box GNOME experience with some fixes from upstream. It is basically GNOMEOS from well known distribution with WAY more stability than the current state of GNOMEOS (come on, there isn't even a working package manager).

  9. About the installer, I agree that it had its glitches in the Fedora 18 release, but they have all been fixed in Fedora 19. I also like the way the new installer matches the GNOME experience.

  11. Overall, I think it should not be ignored that Fedora is the best out-of-the-box GNOME experience with cutting-edge apps in the repositories and plenty of stability. Sure, RedHat sort of uses it as a preview of the next RHEL version, but many people (like me) love it and use it for a totally different reason.

  13. Anyway, keep up the good work and keep the shows coming! ;)
