  1. To Whom It May Concern,

  3. My name is Tristan Newman, and it is with great interest and enthusiasm that I am submitting for your consideration the enclosed application for internship/co-op opportunities at Northrop Grumman. I am a recent graduate of the University of Florida, from which I received a bachelorís degree in the field of nuclear engineering. I am now returning to the same university to receive a masterís degree in aerospace engineering, which has precipitated my interest in the available position.

  5. I heard about Northrop Grumman from my time in the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) at UF. I eventually decided to continue my professional development in the private sector, forgoing my commission for the opportunity to make an impact on the industry. In pursuing this goal I have acquired funding for local engineering projects, represented my former employer at county board meetings, and became a certified Engineer-in-Training. I have never been satisfied to simply perform the bare minimum of what is asked of me, as one would expect from my military background. For these reasons, I feel that I am a great match for Northrop Grumman and could contribute much as an engineering intern there.

  7. My references are available on request and I am standing by to answer any questions you may have about me or my qualifications. I can be contacted by phone at (352) 318-4857, or by email at tntristan12@gmail.com. I am looking forward to discussing the ways in which I can be an asset to the company, and would like to thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
