  1. I have heard the stories of people who nuked their install with "rm -rf /" and thought "why would you do that?, you knew it would kill your system". Then I did exactly that. I was trying to rm the contents of a USB drive before dd'ing FreeNAS onto it and I was typing faster that I was thinking. Before I could react my entire /home is gone and my laptop is crippled.
  3. You mention almost every week that the ransoms people pay are actually no-backup-fees, so my question is; what do you recommend as home or small office level backup solution? What services or local servers and clients? Frequency? Just /home or a whole system image? What about my file server and the Windows machines I can't seem to get rid of?
