  1. Hello! My name is William Seemann and I'm the developer of ServeStream. I would like to thank you for reviewing ServeStream on the Linux Action Show and for your kind comments about the app. The review touched on ServeStream's size (5mb) and I figured it was worthwhile to explain why the application is slightly larger than some of it's counterparts. The application uses FFmpeg in order to play streams in formats that aren't supported natively by Android and to retrieve metadata (also, not supported by Android's APIs). Although I do strive to keep the application below 6mb, FFmpeg makes up for about 80% of the application size but it's also what sets the application apart for other apps like StreamFurious. It's an unfortunate catch 22 where I have to trade size for functionality. I hope this explanation sheds some light on the application's size. Once again, thanks for reviewing ServeStream and keep up th e good work! Regards - William Seemann
