  1. Hey guys, love the show. I am about to embark on a battle trying to get an iX rig (Z30) in my environment. We have a larger IT overlord that likes to "standardize" on production rigs. We have an EMC VNX now and they have put forward Hitachi and NetApp as the preferred solutions. I have also seen new products like Reduxio (http://www.reduxio.com/) and there is lots of misinformation as to the features of all of these products.

  3. I like the idea of ZFS because it seems to be transparent as to the features it provides. NetApp claims to have block checksums (https://library.netapp.com/ecmdocs/ECMP1196986/html/GUID-C99CD605-D35B-4DF5-9181-2ECFCDA203F5.html) which seems confusing because I was under the impression ZFS was the only file system to provide this. Are there checksums built on top of the FS?

  5. I have read the server guide for your boss (which works great) but will need to convince not my boss but the larger corporate "server group" so I will need all the technical fire power possible to make my case.
